International year of the global understanding
UNESCO proclaims 2016 as the year to reflect from a global perspective and act and intervene at the local level, in order to achieve the sustainability of the planet and promote good governance and transparency. Among the objectives is to strengthen scientific research for a better understanding of the global effects of local daily activities, at the service of sustainable development. The cover represents the global challenges that integrate science and technology in everyday decisions, and how global understanding is based on joint research among sciences.
