No institution is born and develops by spontaneous generation; behind the process of creation and consolidation of the nucleus Dr. Argimiro Bracamonte of the Centroccidental University Lisandro Alvarado, there is a small story, with real characters and facts that, through an invisible and continuous combination, present us as a result the current institution, fortunately, pride of all, among other things for the scientific and technological support in favor of the agroindustry, as well as its contribution to the capacity of responses to our food industry, through its graduates. The long road traveled, makes the occasion opportune to reflect not only on the balance that today presents its management, but to bring to light some circumstances that surrounded its creation and consolidation, in a necessary exercise of preservation of institutional memory. Thirty years of experience, constitute an opportunity to extract lessons that could be converted into knowledge and this, in turn, into social capital, that positively impacts the quality of the missionary processes of the university and, by extension, throughout the body Social. Human experience is made up of relationships of previous experiences with subsequent practices, which are fed back in an invisible way. This work makes a retrospective look that gives shape to a story that still continues in development, written under the premise that it has always been important to document realities, because this exercise allows traceability from what we were, to what we are, because each new dream should benefit from the lessons learned from both the successes and failures of the past, to approach the desirable future with greater certainty.
