Section Policies

The journal Teorías, Enfoques y Aplicaciones en las Ciencias Sociales publishes original and unpublished contributions that advance analysis, reflection, and research in the field of social sciences. Submitted manuscripts are classified into the following sections:

  • Research Articles: original works derived from empirical or theoretical research, with a clearly defined methodology and results relevant to the academic field.
  • Review Articles: studies that analyze, systematize, and integrate results of previous research on a specific topic, aiming to identify advances, trends, and knowledge gaps.
  • Academic Essays: critical and well-argued reflections on current issues in social sciences, supported by a solid theoretical framework.
  • Case Studies: detailed analyses of situations, experiences, or specific contexts that provide applied or contextualized knowledge.
  • Reviews: critical evaluations of books, reports, or other relevant and recent academic publications.

All manuscripts, regardless of their section, are subject to the peer review process and must comply with the editorial and ethical standards established by the journal. The editorial team makes the final decision on the appropriate publication section.
