Abstract

This paper is a brief portrait of the musician, pianist, composer and musicologist Juan Francisco Sans, as perceived by someone who had the privilege of sharing friendship and professional projects with him.

Author Biography

Bartolomé Díaz Sahagún, Universidad Metropolitana

Bartolomé Díaz Sahagún trained under the direct tutelage of maestros Antonio Lauro and Abel Carlevaro, two of the most famous guitarists and composers of the 20th century. He is the director of Culture of the Universidad Metropolitana, Caracas, and is in charge of the Artistic Artistic Direction of Musicum, the ensemble of that institution. He is also producer, composer, arranger and specialist in the interpretation of ancient plucked instruments.
