Abstract

A leader is a visionary capable of action, who guides the future of an organization. A managerial guide who, together with the employees, is key to success. Every management system requires leading managers who lead the organization with leadership and commitment, demanding responsibility, training, direction, initiatives, competencies, and skills to face challenges and successfully perform in the planning, design, evaluation, and monitoring of programs in the area. They also possess negotiating skills to lead people through new demands, such as technological tools that benefit from a global vision, teamwork, and the exchange and communication of ideas. In this sense, the purpose of this article is to contribute to the professional development of individuals pursuing healthcare management training based on the virtues of their education, in order to offer quality to organizations within a changing environment. Using the methodological approach of documentary reviews, consulting specialized material on healthcare leaders, indexed journals that address the topic, being aware of the work in hospital environments, using available resources, knowing the important activities of a team leader, negotiating, communicating the management process, being clear about the goals pursued with the activities, the main tasks that healthcare leaders will have, introducing and disseminating it in society, without neglecting quality and improving it over time. It is not only about care; over the years, it has been incorporated into the fields of care, prevention, education, management, and automation. It is concluded that this leading manager needs to face current challenges, health personnel who are required to perform at a high level, responsible for managing the necessary time to develop their learning.
