Work: "The Death of Jacob"

Author: This is a painting by the French neoclassical artist François-Ed.ouard Picot, he lived in the July Monarchy and painted on mythological, religious and historical themes.

The work chosen for this issue of the magazine represents with great drama the moment of death, the pain and grief experienced by the family of Jacob, the patriarch of Israel (Genesis 49:28-50-26). It reminds us of the orientation of Human Care at the moment of death as part of life in transition and the role of health professionals to understand and interpret these dimensions of the process of spiritual, moral, and emotional care.
