Abstract

AI should not be rejected; it should be integrated. For specialists in medicine, physical activity, and/or rehabilitation, it should be used in their practice with sound judgment and continuous learning. For example, it can be highly beneficial as an educational tool, recreating medical situations, helping to clarify immediate concerns, answering basic questions, or exploring additional perspectives (1). However, this requires the implementation of training programs that enhance professional skills regarding the achievements and limitations of these tools (2). AI is a complement that aids human epistemology and should not be viewed as a superficial or impersonal exercise. Therefore, from a pedagogical standpoint, it is possible to train professionals in medicine, physical activity, and rehabilitation in these skills to master AI-based tools. The real challenge is not technical, but moral and educational; it is necessary to train experts who master artificial intelligence, who use it with reflective judgment and who evaluate the irreplaceable importance of human interaction in healthcare and health preservation. Therefore, AI should be a strategic ally, but it cannot be the main character in the process that unfolds as a professional dedicated to the work of caring for lives.
