This is volume 13, number 1 (January - June, 2025) of Mayéutica revista científica de humanidades y artes, of the Decanato Experimental de Humanidades y Artes of the Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado, Barquisimeto, Venezuela. From Dublin, Ireland, write Ester Toribio Roura (Technological University of Dublin) and Jye O' Sullivan (School of Visual Culture National College of Art and Design). We publish papers by María del Pilar Gavilanes, Luis Alberto Páez Von Lippke, Pablo Vargas Hidalgo and Luis Pérez Valero, all from Universidad de Las Artes, Guyaquil, Ecuador. From the Universidad de Querétaro, Mexico, we present an article by Esmeralda Espinoza López; as well as another jointly authored by Ana Parra de Torrealba and José Torrealba, from the Universidad Nacional Experimental Simón Rodríguez, Venezuela. From our home, the Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado, writes Milva Javitt Jiménez. In the Scientific and Cultural Information section, we share writings by Sergio Figallo Calzadilla and Naudy Trujillo Mascia. For Galería, researcher Gabriela Rivadeneira writes about the exhibition held at the Centro de Investigación de la Fotografía (CIF) of the Universidad de las Artes.
It is an arbitrated and indexed biannual publication with open and free access. It is edited by the Decanato Experimental de Humanidades y Artes of the Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado, and is conceived as a space to consolidate the scientific humanistic character of the University through the registration and dissemination of knowledge generated in the ways of the evolution of thought and action of each one of the four programs that make up the Deanery: Artes Plásticas, Música, Psicología y Desarrollo Humano. It created at 2013.
