This is volume 14, number 1 (January–June 2026) of Mayéutica Revista Científica de Humanidades y Artes,, a publication of the Decanato de Humanidades y Artes at the Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado, Venezuela. This edition features contributions from Paolo Arévalo Ortiz, Sara Abigail Bedón Monge, and María Cristina Matehu Bassante (Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi, Ecuador); Leopoldo Tillería Aqueveque (Universidad Bernardo O'Higgins, Chile); and Leopoldo Márquez Velasco (Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado). In the Scientific and Cultural Information section, we publish articles by Sergio Rafael Figallo Calzadilla (Centro Integral de Artes de Madrid) and Miguel Nucete Hübner, former president of the Fundación para el Desarrollo de la Región Centroccidental de Venezuela (Fudeco). In Gallery, we present some images about Venezuelan cinema, marking the 130th anniversary of the arrival of the first cinematograph (vitascope) in Venezuela. On the cover, a scene from La Venus de Nácar (1932), the first sound film produced in the country.
